Learning as it is widely used is defined as the acquisition of understanding, skills, behavior, preferences and understanding by experiences, if real, caused or vicarious. Technically, however , learning is used more generally by the specialists, making it extremely difficult to give it an exact explanation. What can simply be done is usually to describe that in terms of phenomena to which it could or cannot be applied. For instance , psychologists admit learning need not be right or adaptable, or will not have to be conscious or strategic (Hill, 1980).

This process is not limited to humans. Family pets, and even machines may also undertake this process, although each individual’s learning processes follow different learning figure. The role of behavior in an individual’s learning process is best the result of Bandura’s Cultural Learning Theory. This theory posits that people learn simply by observing, imitating and building other individuals’ skills, behaviors and perceptions, in relation to the outcomes of such skills, manners and behaviour.

The information collected from these kinds of behaviors, expertise and perceptions then, are interpreted, consciously or subconsciously to determine whether such manners, skills and attitudes would be serve a lot of future helpful purpose (Learning Theories Knowledgebase, 2009). In other words, people work with these behaviors and its implications as guidebook for their subsequent behaviors. 2 . What are both different types of learning? The two types of learning usually analyzed by individuals are classical conditioning and operant health and fitness.

Classical health is the sort of learning wherein a reflexive response is definitely evoked by a stimulus (stimulus B) which can be different from the stimulus (stimulus A) that originally evoked such reflexive response (Learning and Health and fitness, 2009). For instance , a person had very fond memories of his or her 10th birthday which was kept at restaurant A. When ever asked what his/favorite restaurant is, the face would right away blurt away restaurant A. In this example, the positive sense brought about by the memories of the person’s 10th birthday was transferred, to be more exact, had been extended to the place where the person’s birthday was held. The various other type of learning is called Operant conditioning.

This can be the type of learning wherein consequence causes the weakening or perhaps non-reinforcement of a non-reflexive habit, and reinforcement strengthens a non-reflexive tendencies. Unlike traditional conditioning, in operant health and fitness, an individual recieve more control. Which means, presentation of a stimulus does not necessarily mean a certain effect will be evoked. In order to receive a certain strengthening, an individual must behave in most manner (Learning and Health, 2009). One example of operant conditioning consists of a professor’s attempt to increase his students’ attendance.

To accomplish this, he made a rule that students who obtain a particular number of absences will have an automatic one-point deductions in their last grades. Although he said nothing about any incentive for complete attendance, the threat of lower degrees forced the students to limit their defaut. 3. What is the relationship between learning and condition?

Provide a specific case. Jean Piaget’s theory of cognition lays out 5 stages of cognition that may be experienced by simply children as they progress. In the sensorimotor period when the child’s cognitive strategy is still restricted to his/her electric motor reflexes, the cognitive system will develop to preoperational believed wherein children acquires representational skills specially in mental imagery and vocabulary. The third level is the tangible operations in which the child receives an capability to take another person’s viewpoint.

Lastly, though, not everybody reaches this stage, a young child becomes in a position of reasonable and abstract thinking (Sandwell, 1995). Learning as described earlier refers to the acquisition of knowledge, expertise and behavior based on experience. Note that the meaning involves the world acquisition.

Normally, for an individual who learns and therefore undergo the acquisition, ‘ he/she should have the capacity to obtain. This is where knowledge comes in. Assuming that Piaget’s theory is irrebatible, each individual must necessarily take one of the four stages.

It is the individual’s capacity or capacity as explained in each of the four levels that limitations the knowledge, abilities or tendencies that this kind of individual can acquire or perhaps learn. Someone who is still in level one of Piaget’s cognitive development can not be expected to purpose out which has a person who has recently attained a Doctorate level since his/her cognition is limited to engine skills. Such individual are not able to also be supposed to understand or perhaps learn Algebra because this sort of requires common sense and therefore the skills attained in Piaget’s fourth stage.
