The Thieved Party

The heroes in the short story, The Stolen Party demonstrate dazzling differences in all their values and beliefs. Each character displays unique attributes. It is these kinds of unique qualities, which demonstrate different aspects of society. Every single character in that case, represents a percentage of the principles and philosophy of the modern society.

Rosaura is the main persona of this writing. The story revolves around her coming from start to finish. Rosaura is an inexperienced young girl. This story opens with an argument between Rosaura and her mother. Rosaura would like to go to Lucianas birthday party. Luciana is in a wealthy family so Rosauras mother disapproves of her daughters attending the party. In the starting sentences the author makes it evident that Rosaura is financially challenged. Rosauras mother says, I never like you heading because it is a rich lenders party. This place sentence already tells me that they can be probably not very wealthy. Additionally Rosaura can be an inexperienced small girl. She is not tarnished by the opinion that everybody should be evaluated according to his or her economic worth. Your woman, unlike her mother, judges people by who they are and not by how much cash they have. Once Rosauras mother states, you should not fart higher than your very own ass the girl shows that she feels below those people who are wealthy. Rosauras argument implies that she does not feel certain by her financial position. Her monetary state might not be even a concern to her. She says that she wants to proceed because the girl with a friend of Luciana and because she was invited. The writer also displays Rosauras visibility in the starting paragraphs from the story. Seeing that Rosaura is only nine years old she has not any prior connection with prejudice. She does not realize that her mother might be correct about her assumption not everyone will accept her in the party and treat her with the same respect.

Mcdougal begins the storyline by demonstrating how much Rosauras mother loathes the abundant. Her disapproval of her daughters participating in the birthday celebration, expresses a few hidden anger and maybe actually jealousy towards those who are prosperous. Rosauras mother feels less than Luceanas family members. She feels which a persons monetary status determines whom a person can associate with. The author ultimately reveals that Rosauras mom is a cleaning service. Because her job will not pay quite high wages she feels inferior to Lucianas family. Her emotions of violence toward the wealthy may come from many years of prejudice. Rosauras mother regularly feels certain by her financial situation. Rosauras mother does not want her daughter visiting the party since she is the daughter of humble maid. She feels that her little girl will not be thought about as an equal, no matter what. Rosauras mother states, That ones not your friend. You know what you are to them? The maids daughter, thats what. But no matter how strongly Rosauras mother sees this, she actually is willing to let her child go to the party. This shows the unconditional love this lady has for her daughter.

There are some character types in this account that are not developed as well as Rosaura and her mother. One of those characters is definitely Luciana. Luciana is very just like Rosaura for the reason that she recognizes everyone while an equal. The lady does not consider Rosaura being different from any of her other friends. Your woman never views Rosauras finances to be significant. She goodies Rosaura like all of her other close friends.

Another personality, which is not protected in depth, is definitely Lucianas relation. She is generated within this tale through an disagreement with Rosaura. Lucianas relative doesnt know Rosaura but she feels willing to start a spat with her anyway. Lucianas cousin begins to question Rosaura. She questions the fact that Rosaura can be described as friend of Luciana. Lucianas cousin generally seems to think that the girl with better than Rosaura. This displays the reader the first signs that Rosauras mother could have been right regarding wealthy persons not accepting Rosaura.

An additional character that is only launched briefly may be the magician. The writer does not enter into his personality or beliefs but it is done clear that he recognizes all of the children as similar.

The last character that is launched is Senora Ines. Once more the author does not develop her in depth. The writer places her in the account in order to illustrate the prejudice, which Rosauras mother acquired described. Senora Ines presents Rosaura funds at the end with the party rather than small gift idea. This displays to Rosaura that she is, actually looked upon as being different from the other children.

Each character in this tale demonstrates an aspect of world today. Rosaura signifies the unsuspecting poor child. Your woman represents the very fact that a person usually will not develop stereotypes until they may have experienced a lot of the aspects of existence. Rosauras mother is placed inside the story to illustrate an additional fact regarding todays culture. Rosauras mom demonstrates that society affects the way a person considers. She shows that from years of experience she has developed a pattern of stereotyping prosperous people. Luciana represents the wealthy part of society that will not see less fortunate people to be different. The lady, like Rosaura, does not stereotype people for their financial well worth. Lucianas cousin, on the other hand, illustrates that portion of the wealthy population that seems superior to the financially challenged. The wizard in this story represents somebody like a clergyman or a charity worker. He sees all the kids with the party because equals. He could be willing to permit any of them take part in his magic. Senora Ines plays fault society that feels obligated to offer charitable trust to those who are less privileged.

The author not merely writes a very interesting account but as well provides an crucial message with regards to society. People are too concerned with money in present day society. Whenever we could almost all remain innocent (such since Rosaura and Luciana) and not become prejudice towards other folks the world might be a better place. Everyone would be judged relating to who they are and not with what they have got.
