Richard Wagamese, Canadian author whom wrote the book ” Indian Horse” came to speak at Acadia. I was impressed from his speech.

He came to the podium, modest and chatted in his native language. He then translated what he had explained, welcoming and thanking everyone in the viewers. Wagamese then began retelling his previous. He started away with the 60’s scoop, being one of the victims and taken away to a white create family. This individual described to have lost friends and family name wonderful identity.

Wagamese faced various hardships in his new home. He described his first feelings of abuse, seeing that he was by no means hit ahead of; his initial hit was so amazing he didn’t know what to feel. In that case in school youngsters would bully him to be “slow”, because of not being able to cause the abece. No one trained him how to learn, and thus he attempted to learn by himself.
